Dear friends and fellow raiders,

After much deliberation I've decided to close tombraidercosplay.net. I've enjoyed working on it and connecting with the wonderful Tomb Raider cosplay community, but I just don't have enough free time to maintain both this site and tombraiders.net.

When I joined the cosplay community last year, I hoped to fill the void left behind by the closing of tombraidercosplay.com. Now that Sara and friends have re-opened at laracroftcosplay.com, this site is no longer necessary. Sara is far more passionate about the subject than I am, and she's doing a wonderful job bringing the community together and sharing resources for TR cosplayers.

I want to thank everyone who contributed and apologize to those who sent in submissions that never made it up onto the site. I bit off a little more than I could chew, and I'm sorry about that. I encourage all of you to submit your photos, tutorials and links to laracroftcosplay.com. I'll be stopping in frequently to see what you're up to.

If you have questions, comments, suggestions for improvement, just let me know. It's my first effort with paperclay, and I'm still getting the hang of it, but I think it turned out pretty well.

At last, tombraidercosplay.net tombraidercosplay.net has officially opened! In case you haven't read my past posts, this is a new website for Tomb Raider cosplayers and their fans. Along with extensive photo galleries featuring Lara Croft and other characters from the Tomb Raider universe, we also have detailed guides and tutorials for cosplayers—everything from costume and prop construction, to hairstyling and makeup, to advice on convention-going, location scouting, photo and video shoots, and post-production.

I hope you'll all stop by to check out the site and let me know what you think. I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions.

I'm also running a giveaway with a bunch of TR and cosplay related prizes—calendars, T-shirts and posters for 9 lucky winners. This contest runs through the end of March, and entering is as easy as filling out a little form and posting a comment on the site. (See news.tombraidercosplay.net/201… for details.)

At this point, few areas are still under construction, but I plan to add new content on an ongoing basis. So if you'd like to share your photos, articles, tutorials or links, that would be great. Please get in touch.

I also want to give a big THANK YOU to all the cosplayers, artists and writers who've contributed so far. Tomb Raider is blessed with the coolest, most dedicated fans imaginable. I could never have done this without you!

Hi, all! Just touching base to let everyone know I will not be launching the new cosplay site on Tuesday as planned.   I got sick with a cold and lost momentum. So rather than putting out something sloppy and scrambled by cold medicine, I figured I'd wait, take my time and do it right. My new goal is to open by the end of the month, with an early preview period for contributors.

And of course, I'll be glad to accept any submissions (photos, tutorials, articles, links, etc.) ongoing. The plan is to keep the site growing steadily over time.

Thanks to everyone who's expressed enthusiasm, especially those of you who've already sent things in. You guys are great, and I hope you'll like what I've done...once you finally get to see it.
